Integrated Marketing Solutions (IMS) offers a range of alternative media management and consulting solutions. We are hiring a Business Development Consultant to lead sales efforts for IMS by leveraging our expertise in data analytics and consumer credit marketing to drive growth in client services.
As an entrepreneurial business builder, you will provide critical sales support planning, marketing program development, identify high-potential prospects, and build relationships that turn prospects into clients. The Business Development Consultant is responsible for developing the sales support structure and delivering to target revenue goals. This full-time position reports to the Director of Client Services and requires travel as needed.
What You’ll Do:
As the primary Business Development leader, your responsibilities will center around developing a client sales support structure for IMS and driving sales. You will also be responsible for:
• Researching and identifying high-potential targets within the direct-to-consumer retail and service spaces
• Developing a strategic and operational sales plan to deliver budgeted sales and gross margin targets
• Leveraging a network of referral sources and centers of influence to introduce new business, enhance technical knowledge, and promote the IMS brand
• Collaborating with the client success team to expand the key accounts portfolio, to deliver growth targets
• Communicating customer needs and market trends to key IMS stakeholders
• Ongoing analysis, optimization, and reporting of business performance, with a focus on conversion funnel, margin, and discount management
• Strengthening the brand through representation at trade shows and partnership events
Qualifications:
We need a highly driven and ethical business development professional. Ideally, you’ll have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field. In addition, we are looking for:
• 5+ years of business development that includes hands-on experience across all aspects of the selling cycle
• Highly developed negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to cultivate trust-based relationships using a wide range of influence skills.
• Microsoft Office Suite aptitude with intermediate PowerPoint and Excel skills
• Working ERP and CRM knowledge
• Previous involvement in RFI (Request for Information) and RFP (Request for Proposal) processes
• Demonstrated initiative, strong ownership of work results, and a solutions-oriented approach
You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you’re expected to “think on your feet” and can effectively work independently. Experience in the direct-to-consumer and financial services industry is a plus.
