What You’ll Do
As an Assistant Sourcing Manager, you’ll report to the Senior Sourcing Manager and be responsible for managing a reliable and cost-effective supply chain strategy designed to deliver high quality ingredients, packaging materials, equipment, supplies and services to manufacturing and business operations. Collaboration with cross-functional partners such as Marketing, Research & Development, Manufacturing, Logistics, Quality, Legal & Creative Teams is integral to your success as a Sourcing professional.

You’ll also be responsible for:
• Maximizing value in the assigned direct category(s) which are critical to the business—specifically label and product information development and procurement
• Managing key supplier relationships, leading cross functional teams in the development and implementation of sourcing strategies
• Utilizing strategic sourcing methods, you will cost savings/avoidances and other associated value improvements

What It Takes
We need an experienced, pro-active leader with supply chain experience, direct food ingredient procurement and project management. This person must possess professional level communication skills and thrive in a dynamic, collaborative team environment. Ideally, you will have a Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management and 5 + years’ experience in negotiating skills.

Job Requirements

We need someone with at least 1 year of sourcing and purchasing experience. This person must possess professional level communication skills and thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional, collaborative team environment. Ideally you will have a Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Packaging or Operations Management discipline and experience in the food industry. 

In addition, we are looking for: 
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills 
• A positive, solution-oriented, and customer-focused demeanor 
• Exceptional conflict management and decision-making skills 
• Strong organizational and project management skills 
• An understanding of Food Quality Management Systems (GFSI) 
• At least one of the following certifications/licenses: APP, CPM, CPSM, CPIM, APICS – CPSM preferred
